The banner is too short. The backgrounds are too bright and distract from what is on the page. the font and colour aren't legible because of the background and colour of the font. home button is not needed or the icon shouldn't be also a button as they do it is right next to the home button and they have the exact same function.The backgrounds i feel should be a constant photograph to avoid epilepsy and confusion.

Idea

I had 3 original ideas such as my idea which is the one that I stuck with was the best one in my opinion was to do a website as a hub or community as well as a shop for toy soldier enthusiasts and collectors as well as a place where people could gather information and find new places to gather information and find other sites to purchase other products. But I did not manage to finish that idea or page because of the dead line and due to the fact that I did not start my website early enough. My other ideas were to recreate the official airfix website because in my opinion it was boring and it needed an update but I decided against that due to the fact of contacting them.my final idea was to do a website around my parents up and coming Lego event but decided against that as well due to the lack of images and information that I could put on there so I choose mine because it was something I was passionate and decide there was a lot I could cover and decided to do that. And personally I think that it was effective and did and looked how I wanted it too. If there was another chance I would redo the aifix website because I am passionate about it and it needed a redo.

Research

I looked a lot of websites that I was passionate about because I wanted to add assets from most of them and bend them to make them relevant to my website I also looked at the codes and conventions of websites and they helped me realise and think about what I am going to need what I am going to do and where that would need to go on a website as well as what I would have to do to make it and get it there and I used the website that I looked at such as united bricks and airfix and I picked those websites apart and I found what I wanted and I what I would have to do to get them into my website and relevant to my topic. I also looked at the user flow of websites and how they can help me such as what a user would do and how they navigate my website and this helped develop my idea by telling me what assets I needed also giving me more ideas for my website helping me develop it. In my opinion my research was very effective because it told me what I needed to get my website to a good level and also helping develop my idea.

Planning

I did not use classic production documents such as scripts story boards or risk assessment and recces form but I did use documents that I planned out and that I drew which planned out other website that I looked at and all of the main aspects about them what was essential as well as what I liked and disliked which help me realise what I wanted and what I had to do and get also developing my idea by inspiring parts of my website and helpingme plan out what I am going to need and how I would position them with in my website which was very effective and useful when coming to the production of my website. Although my website time management was not perfect although I came out with a product which I was happy with my time management was appalling which goes for all three of my project because I had kept on putting of things instead of doing them when I needed to meaning that everything was a lot more stressful when coming towards the end which means if given another chance I would have planned out my time a lot better and in doing so helped my self out in the long run. But my production documents were very helpful and helped develop and expand my idea.

Production

I am very happy with my final product and how it turned out because it did what wanted it to do even though I wish I had enough time to go through and add products in the shop section but I think that it was good for the time that I had and it did what I wanted it to do. I also had some peer feedback which was both good and bad because both pointed out that they like my backgrounds and use of images but both pointed out the lack of pictures on certain pages and one stated that my text was hard to read due to its colour and having to read it of the background making it difficult read and understand. But otherwise I was happy with my final product and there were no problems during the production of my website it all when smoothly and properly I just struggled on my timing and how much time I had to produce my website but I had no problems but I would have learnt from my issues and it will help me having these skills for when it comes around to the next project but I think that if I had another chance to reproduce my website I would plan my timing and ad more pages and follow my peer feed back and fix those issues now I recognise that they are there
